Some quick Christmas pics...

Christmas has come and gone very quickly... probably too quickly for Heather. Ava enjoyed every bit of it from coming down stairs to see what was in her stocking... to opening all of her wonderful presents... to actually having a surprise gift (a Wii) for mommy and daddy! Here are a couple quick pictures, not a whole lot as we were trying to pry ourselves away from the camera to enjoy the moment.

Ava has graduated to part time role in sitting in the "bumbo". She is still a little unsteady but is diggin' it! Check it out.

Ava's getting BIG! & Daddy's Home!

Here is a quick pic of Ava smiling away. Dad got home yesterday afternoon after being in a plane for 12-1/2 hours.... and was happy to see his girls! Now we get to eat some chocolate from Belgium, some macaroons from Paris and play with Ava's toy from Berlin.... oh yeah, and watch some American Football!

Ava goes to see Santa!

This is Ava about 10 minutes before countdown to seeing Santa. All dressed up in her little christmas outfit (that was actually Heather's outfit back in 1979!) and ready to go.

This is Ava when she realizes that we are actually in a line waiting to see Santa. She hadn't slept all day and we knew it was a matter of time before she fell asleep. And one thing we have learned to NOT do is abruptly wake her up to do something she doesn't want to. So... we waited with anticipation to she what she would do....

.... And like a pro, she woke up as we lifted her out of stroller and handed her to Santa and loved every second of it. Below is the picture that I grabbed with Heather's i-phone (I'll scan the official $19.99 photo and post it later)

And here is the video I snagged (also with Heather's i-phone). Notice that the lady in charge was very concerned with what I'm doing... asking me "if I'm filming" and then telling me "you're in the shot" when I got to close. Oh well, we were excited!

Aunt Jenny comes to visit!

The Seeleys would like to thank Aunt Jenny for coming to visit this weekend! Ava was VERY excited to meet Jenny... so excited, that she gave us her first ever, official laugh! We tried to capture it on video but we were not successful... I have a feeling it will be like trying to get Bigfoot on film. Jenny was also able to get Ava so riled up during the evening, that Ava slept thru the night only waking up ONCE! It was great!

This was the only photo we were able to grab as Ava also slept a lot during the day :)

Crazy 36 Hours

I think everyone has been brought up to speed on the past 36 hours, so I won't dive into it. Pretty scary time for us... bottom line, Ava is one tough little girl and is doing great back at home. Thought I would post a quick video to take our minds off it. Enjoy! (Sorry I can't make it bigger, I don't know how)

Ava's Baptism

Well... after a very long, "multiple diaper changing stop filled" journey back to GA, we are now back home reflecting on Ava's Baptism weekend. Thanks to all who were able to join us Saturday evening, it does mean a lot! Overall, Ava was GREAT during the ceremony... we couldn't have asked for a better setting and probably most important, a happy baby! I'm going to try and actually get the video of the baptism up over the next few days, but I know some of you out there do not like to wait, so here are some pics to hold you over :)
